Have you heard of the newly opened Bonseta's Fun Fun Rides in Talakag, Bukidnon? We went there over the weekend. Actually, it was just a stop-over because we were in Talakag for an outreach activity (Click this link to watch the vlog.) but we definitely enjoyed our short visit there and hope to come back again, with family, soon.
Bonseta's is divided into 4 Stations which are spread across Talakag. We went to Station 3 because it was more familiar and accessible. The entrance fee to Station 3 is P50 for adults and P20 for kids. At the entrance, we were welcome by Hulk!
Though the construction is still ongoing, we, especially the kids, can already enjoy the place. They have a playground and lots of picture-worthy statues of our favorite cartoon characters.
If you are up for an adventure, they also have ATV motors, Hanging Bridge and Motor Train (see second photo below for the rates).
What I really like about the place is the scenery! If you are stressed out, you can just go there and enjoy the climate (it's still cold even if the sun is up so you can go there even at noon and you won't sweat out) and the breathtaking view of the mountains. You can also rent a cottage for P150.00 only.
They also have a viewing deck perfect for pictorials. You may rent binoculars for P50.00 as well.
Food is not a problem, they both have a convenience store and a restaurant. There are also bands and performers which will entertain the guests and tourists.
Enjoy and happy trip!
How to Get There:
From Cagayan de Oro:
- If you are commuting, you may ride a Talakag-bound jeepney at Carmen Market. Estimate time for travel is 1 hour. From Centro Talakag, it will take another almost 1-hour travel to Bonseta's. You may rent a vehicle/jeepney or ride a habal-habal (motorcycle) going there.
- If you want more convenience, they also have a UV Express van stationed at Carmen Market which goes directly to Bonseta's. Contact 09166958872 and look for Arnel.
- If you are driving, just follow the road going uptown to SM City CDO, Lumbia, and then Talakag. You will know you are already in Talakag if you see the Talakag Elementary School located on the right side of the road. Large tarpaulins and signages of Bonseta's can be found in the area. You may also ask the locales some directions.
