#BreakFreeFromPlastic
I like that hashtag. It is a concrete way on how we can help save our environment. I mean we cannot really do away with plastic totally but we can certainly reduce our use of it. As part of my advocacy on the UNSDGs , I will help in this in any way I can.
I recently came across this image from Greenpeace (I subscribe to their mailing list so I get updates from time to time. I think you should too.) and the image is so striking that it made me realize how a small thing like straw can change our ecosystem, pollute our environment, and put animals/wildlife in danger.
That is why for starters, this will be my first step to #BreakFreeFromPlastic . I will no longer use plastic straws and will find alternatives instead, probably those made from bamboo. How about you? Would you want to join in this campaign?
I want to influence you to shift from plastic to bamboo straws as well, so I'll be having a giveaway. I will choose 3 persons to receive bamboo straws with straw cleaner.
All you have to do is follow these 3 simple steps:
1. Like my Facebook page, The Kagay-anon
2. Share this blogpost on your Facebook timeline (make sure to set in Public so I can check) and use the hashtag #BreakFreeFromPlastic.
3. Send a PM on my facebook page your full name, contact number, and the link of your post.
This is open to CAGAYAN DE ORO residents (or from nearby municipalities who can meet me at CDO) only.
Let's #BreakFreeFromPlastic one step at a time!
