On the 2nd day of the food appreciation tour, part of our itinerary was the House of Fries and they let us try their unique french fries dishes. I really wanted to try all the variants that time since french fries is my ultimate comfort food. However, it was already the 4th restaurant that we went to that day so I was already very full that I did not get to eat a lot.
Good news was that the owner, Gelo Rey, informed us that time that they are opening a branch in Cagayan de Oro by August in time of the city fiesta. True enough, the CDO branch opened last August 27, 2018 (still on soft opening) and they invited us to an exclusive event for bloggers yesterday, September 1, 2018.
They served us these mouth-watering dishes which are very affordable! Almost all dishes are worth less than P100.00 and the servings are large. The reason behind this, according to the owner, is that they want more people to come and enjoy great food. They also won't have a commissary so each day, we are guaranteed that the food they serve is fresh.
Imagine this yummy french fries and shrimp combi for only P69.00!
My most favorite so far is this French Fries with Pork Ribs. It's definitely one dish I highly recommend!
They also have other dishes such as Bingsoo/Bingsu (we tried the Mango Bingsu, Chocolate Bingsu, and the Cookies and Cream Bingsu which were all sweet and delicious!), Foot long hotdogs, Buttered Chicken, Kinilaw, among others.
Check out the menu below. They will be updating this though since they will also be offering other kinds of dishes intended for Kagay-anons!
They will be having their Grand Opening on September 8, 2018! By that time, their menu will already by complete. See you all at the House of Fries!
