Kidney Run: I run to help a dialysis patient.

"I run to help a dialysis patient..." This was the motto and motivation of all the 4:30 RMR Kidney  Run runners, may it be on the 2 K, 5 K, 10 K, or 21 K category.

I chose to run at the 5K category. Even though I was already able to finish a 10 K run in Manila, I knew I had to choose a shorter distance because of my current health status.

I really thought that the gunstart of the 5K category  is 6am. But when I arrived there (Divisoria Kiosko) at 5:25 am, I was almost late because they decided to start the run earlier! Fortunately, I still had 30 seconds to wear my singlet. I was not even able to do stretching and all.

The 5K run started at almost 5:30am and together with my co-teacher Jeza, we finished the run at exactly 6am. That's a record  breaker for me. Shorter time than my previous 5K run! Yey!

For me, it doesn't matter whether I win or not on a running event. What's important is I'm always able to finish  the journey without (a) getting any physical pain and (b) that I'm  able to help sick patients in my own little way.

There's another fun run coming up on June sponsored by Talk N Text. I'm gonna go on that too! :)

Let's run!
